If I were to use a standard towel that way, it would have that musty damp odour, but Copper Clothing’s towel has no smell to it, so the copper within it seems to work. Overall, I think that Copper Clothing’s Anti-Microbial Bath Towel and Gym Towel is great. It is really soft to use, it dries quickly and doesn’t have a smell even after a week of use. Whilst it is a good size, especially for throwing in your gym bag, I would like to see a bigger bath sheet size.
The copper-infusion is completely safe and is chemical-fee. Copper has been used for hundreds of years and is well-known for its health benefits, including to purify water and prevent infections. Copper ions penetrate bacterial cells and inhibit their respiration.
Using copper-infused towels is a fantastic way to incorporate the benefits of copper into your daily life. Copper is an eco-friendly, natural metal and when infused with fabric the goodness of the copper oxide helps to eliminate the growth of bacteria and odour, giving the towel self-cleansing properties. I have already mentioned that the towel has self-cleansing properties, but that doesn’t mean that there is no need to wash it. Although, you won’t need to wash it as often. I have since washed the towel on a 30 degree wash and it has come out still feeling just as soft and looking good as good as new.
Whilst at £19.99 for one towel, it is a little bit more expensive than a good quality bath towel. Is it worth it? I think so. It looks good, dries well and stays odourless, even after a week of using after showers. It feels and looks good quality and has a nice weight to it. It doesn’t need washing as often, doesn’t need changing as often and will last a lot longer, so in the long run it will be much better value for money. And if that wasn’t enough, the copper ions infused into the fabric, you can’t feel or see them, reduces or eliminates germs that damp towels create. And with less bacterial breeding on your towels, it will create less germs and less odour. Making using the towel better for your health as well.
I think that this is a great bath/gym towel. Personally, I would have preferred a bigger bath sheet size, but this does an excellent job of drying me after my showers and quickly as it absorbs the water well, dries quickly for the next use and hasn’t got any odour caused by bacterial that can be found on normal towels. And it looks and feels like any other good quality towel that you may have in your cupboards for use in the bathroom or at the gym.
The humble bath towel has just got better, more hi-tech and more hygienic. I would happily recommend it.
