The Edifier W800BT Pro wireless headphones have a sleek and modern design with an adjustable durable cushioned steel headband, foldable large earcups with cushions made from soft skin-friendly leather. They are designed to fit different face shapes and ear contours and not just fit, but fit comfortably and they stay put on your ears and head when moving.
They support seamless multipoint connection allowing you to connect to two Bluetooth audio devices simultaneously (for example, phone and laptop), which makes them incredibly convenient for both work and enjoying music at the same time (you can easily switch between the two devices by pressing the buttons the right earpad or when I was using them with my laptop and received a call on my phone they automatically switched).
Charging is via a USB-C connection and they take about 3 hours to fully charge for up to 45 hours playback (depending on what settings you use: volume level and whether ANC is on or off). In a hurry? A 10 minute charge will give you up to 5 hours playback, again depending on the settings you use.
The sound quality is awe-inspiring. The 40mm dynamic driver provides superb crystal-clear audio with good bass, and the titanium-coated diaphragm ensures clear and transparent mid-high frequencies. The sound quality, even at it highest level, is fantastic with no distortion and has a good bass. The EQ settings can be customised to suit your own preferences in the Edifier app. When using the headphones as a wired pair (using the supplied USB-C cable) they are Hi-res certified.
And then there is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Equipped with advanced hybrid active noise cancellation technology, combined with the full-fit over-ear design, they achieve excellent passive noise reduction, reducing external noises to a depth of up to -44dB, allowing you to fully enjoy the music without outside annoyances.
Connect them to your phone and you can also enjoy hands-free calling. Telephone calls are crystal-clear due to the integrated Al call noise reduction algorithms and a high-sensitivity microphone that very effectively recognises background noise and reducing it, making human voices clearer on calls.
If you are a gamer, the W800BT Pro are perfect for gaming. With a low latency of 0.06 seconds, game sounds and audio sync extremely well with the visuals, providing an excellent immersive gaming experience – you will hear the sounds as they happen with the visuals on the screen, not seconds after.
Overall, the Edifier W800BT Pro wireless headphones are a superb budget-friendly pair of headphones that can be used wirelessly or wired with sublime sound whichever option you use. They are simple to pair to devices and being able to connect to two different devices simultaneously and switch between the two devices is brilliant – I use the headphones more with my laptop but being able to switch over to my phone to take a call is quick and easy.
The battery life is excellent, giving days of usage before charging and I love the 10 minute charge for up to 5 hours use.
And it doesn’t matter how long I wear the headphones for, they always remain comfortable. I don’t really feel any pressure on the top of my head from the headband and the ear cups are really soft, cover my whole ear and don’t overheat my ears. Perfect for all day wearing.
The Edifier W800BT Pro headphones are just fantastic. They have the comfort, quality and features of a much higher priced set – they are a bargain at under £50.
