The largest organ of the human body is the skin. It covers us from head to foot and puts up with a lot. It provides a physical barrier between our vital organs and the outside world, protects us from microbes and the elements, helps regulate body temperature, and permits the sensations of touch, heat, and cold. It really does have a variety of very important functions and deserves to be looked after. But our skin can also be prone to spots, blemishes and dryness, caused by a variety of reasons including teenage hormones, stress and aging. As we have a teenage girl in the house that can be prone to spot outbreaks, we were happy to try out Purifide, a new range of clear skin daily skincare, from the makers of Acnecide.

The PURIFIDE range of skincare for spot or blemish prone skin is split into CONTROL and REBALANCE. The CONTROL range have the light blue packing and can be used daily to help prevent spots and maintain clear skin. The REBALANCE range have purple packaging and can be used daily for use during treatment or active breakouts.
When outbreaks are happening you use the REBALANCE products (PURIFIDE Daily Cleanser, Daily Moisturiser SPF 30 and Microbiome Equalizer), soothing, gentle balancing cleansers and moisturisers that support a strong, healthy skin barrier and its functions by hydrating, protecting and balancing the microbiome (skin).
To help prevents spots occurring in the first place you use the CONTROL products (PURIFIDE pH Control Cleansing Face Wash, Blackhead Control Deep Exfoliating Cleanser and Oil Control Mattifying Moisturiser), these help to combat the causes of spots: blocked pores, excess oil, spot-causing bacteria.
CONTROL Range
- PURIFIDE pH Control Cleansing Face Wash – this is a 150ml tube of clear gel foaming cleanser. It is for use morning and evening as part of a clear skin routine which deeply cleanses and unclogs pores by removing excess oils. It Maintains the skin pH level and reduces bacteria to help prevent spots occurring. It also boosts skin hydration for up to 4 hours. Dermatologically tested. The cost is £9.99, and you don’t have to use a lot of it.
- PURIFIDE Blackhead Control Deep Exfoliating Cleanser – this is a 120ml tube of deep cleansing, BHA exfoliant wash for blemish-prone skin on face, chest or back. It is soap free and is clinically proven to unclog and keep pores clear to prevent blackheads, whiteheads and spots. Dermatologically tested. The cost is £9.99, and again you don’t have to use a lot of it.
- PURIFIDE Oil Control Mattifying Moisturiser – this is a 50ml tube that keeps blemish-prone skin hydrated and clear without blocking pores, controlling excess oils. It has all day (24h) hydration and 8 hours shine reduction. Dermatologically tested. This is slightly more expensive at £14.99, but again you don’t have to use a lot of it.
REBALANCE Range
- PURIFIDE Daily Cleanser – this is a 235ml pump bottle of cosmetic face wash specifically formulated to gently cleanse sensitive spot prone skin. It reduces oil and shine and leaves skin feeling deeply cleansed, clean and healthy and soft. It is soap free, doesn’t clog pores and helps reduce facial sebum (oil). Dermatologically tested. This costs £9.99, and a little goes a long way.
- PURIFIDE Daily Moisturiser SPF 30 – this is a 50ml tube that helps to reduce skin roughness and dryness without clogging pores. It also provides 24 hour hydration and provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Dermatologically tested. This costs £14.99, and like the Daily Cleanser a little goes a long way.
- PURIFIDE Microbiome Equalizer – this is a 50ml pump bottle of balancing moisturiser for sensitive spot-prone skin, for use night and day. It is light, non-greasy and hydrates, replenishes, smoothes and soothes the skin whilst preserving skin pH to help promote the microbiome balance and prevent spots. Intensely hydrates for 24 hours. Helps strengthen the protective skin barrier. Dermatologically tested. This also costs £14.99, and again, you don’t need to use a lot.
Overall, we (or should I say the teenager of the house) have been using the PURIFIDE products for just over a week now. Whilst they haven’t cleared up her skin yet there is a noticeable improvement and seem to be working (which she is delighted with) and she reports that her skin feels softer. She also has sensitive skin and hasn’t had any kind of reaction whilst using the PURIFIDE range.
The products are good to use and do not leave any greasy residues. They do an excellent job of cleansing and moisturising the skin. The Daily Cleanser foams nicely and doesn’t dry the skin out and has a quite nice but subtle smell.
Whilst they are quite expensive products for the amount you get, they do seem to be doing an excellent job of getting rid of the spots she already has and preventing other breakouts. By helping to cleanse her skin and reduce and prevent breakouts these products are also helping to relieve the anxiety caused by the breakouts. For a teenage girl having blemish-free skin is big thing and does help with confidence and worry around spots.
With Christmas nearly upon us the PURIFIDE skincare products would make a good gift for teenagers who are worried about spots and how they look. You don’t need to buy the full range, you can mix and match to get what works best and having beautiful blemish-free skin will boost confidence and help reduce anxiety levels in teenagers and anyone that worries about their skin.
The PURIFIDE range is doing an excellent job of reducing spots, stopping breakouts, hydrating and moisturising all to give spot-free healthy looking skin.
We can highly recommend, especially as a Christmas gift or even picking one as a stocking filler gift.
