We hope that everyone is making the most of the good weather we are currently experiencing and enjoying the outdoors. Whilst we are out and about, we all need to stay hydrated and rather than keep purchasing bottles of water or other drinks on our travels a good reusable water bottle is a must. We recently tried out a stainless steel reusable lunch box from Black+Blum and to complement it we are now trying out the matching insulated water bottle.
The Black+Blum Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottle is available in two sizes: 500ml / 17 fl oz (measures D7.3cm x H23cm with a weight of 280g) and 750ml / 25 fl oz (measures D7.7cm x H28.5cm with a weigh of 384g). The bottle is constructed from high quality stainless steel, silicone, a vegan leather strap that is attached to the lid and is BPA-free. The bottle is vacuum insulated, it is 100% leakproof, and keeps your drinks cold for 24 hours or hot for 12 hours.
The water bottle is in the same minimalist style as the matching lunch box and looks great, understated and quality. The silicone bands used to around the lid of the bottle are available in three colour options (you can choose from Ocean, Olive or Orange) to accentuate the bottle and it is finished off with a tan vegan leather strap that keeps the lid permanently attached to the bottle. The lid screws on to the bottle with the thread on the inside of the lid so that drinking straight from the bottle is smooth.
The bottle is vacuum sealed and insulated, doing an excellent job of keeping drinks hot or cold. With its wide opening it is very easy to drink from, pour from and very easy to keep clean. The bottle is NOT microwave or dishwasher safe.
Overall, this is a very high quality water bottle that looks very stylish and complements the lunch box. It does an excellent job of keeping any hot drinks or soup warm for 12 hours (long enough for a day out) and keeps cold drinks at a nice and cold drinking temperature for 24 hours, all day cool hydration. And despite constantly being thrown in a backpack ours hasn’t leaked once!
As with the matching lunch box, the bottle isn’t too heavy and is very easy to keep clean (although it can be a little bit fiddly to remove the strap when washing the bottle). And it has no plastic in sight, so is perfect for being reused over and over again for years to come. The silicone and vegan leather used are much better for the environment than plastic equivalents.
It is more expensive that some plastic water bottles at £26.95 / £31.95 (depending on size), but the quality speaks for itself, it looks more luxurious than a plastic water bottle and it will last a lifetime. It won’t crack or discolour like plastic versions so will last a longer, making it better value for money and better for the environment as there will be no plastic waste going to landfill.
An excellent luxurious water bottle that does an fantastic job of keeping hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.
