EduKit Festive Craft Kit Review

EduKit

In our house we have a very crafty 9 year old child. We don’t mean that there is a deceitful child running around causing mischief, we just mean one that loves to do anything crafty and is always creating drawings, paintings, resin jewellery, models from polymer clay and a whole lot more – she can quite happily spend hours a day creating something.

Now that is coming up to Christmas and with decorations and trees starting to appear everywhere, she is getting into the Christmas spirit (all those annoying Christmas tunes playing all the time) and was delighted when we received the EduKit Festive Craft Kit.

The EduKit Festive Craft Kit is a jumbo craft kit with a massive 1,150 pieces (approx.), including three projects to try. The kit includes:

  • 20x A5 Foam Sheets
  • 100x Large Pipe Cleaners
  • 40x Tinsel Pipe Cleaners
  • 100x Mini Pompoms
  • 50x A4 Card
  • 20x A5 Felt Sheets
  • 4x Crepe Paper
  • 1x 20g pack of Glittery Foam Shapes
  • 341x Googly Eyes
  • 130x Sequins & Confetti
  • 162x self-adhesive Gems
  • 80x Glitter Foam Shapes

The kit is all nicely packed into one compact cardboard box (easy for wrapping if you were giving it as a gift).

As the weather has been truly awful this weekend in Yorkshire, it was the perfect time to get out this kit and let the juices flow. She was over the moon, especially as she now wants to make decorations for the tree (when it goes up).

In the kit is a booklet with three different projects that you can do to get you on your way. They are of varying degrees of difficulty – easy, easy/intermediate and advanced. The easy project is of Santa, the easy to intermediate project is of a 3D Christmas Tree and the advanced project is a festive felt wreath. For the most part, all of the pieces that you need to create these items are in the kit, but you will need to supply a toilet roll tube (everyone has these) and glue.

She has decided not to start with the designs in the book and has been looking at EduKit’s blog on their website for more ideas as well as on YouTube for videos of all sorts of different projects to do from baubles to tree decorations.

Overall, the EduKit Festive Craft Kit is excellent. Jam packed with plenty of craft items in festive reds and greens, children will have hours of fun creating their own festive masterpieces, everything from hanging snowmen for the Christmas tree to personalised Christmas card for a loved one.

The kit has everything you need to create some beautiful imaginative creations, whether it is using the booklet with the kit, the aid of the EduKit website or just letting your imagination free.

This is an excellent craft kit to get children in the mood for Christmas and even to get them involved in decorating the house and making and writing their own cards for their friends at school.

This kit has plenty in it to keep the children busy for a long time and being able to create lots of festive treats. At £13.95 we think that it is definitely value for money as the quality of the items is good and the hours of craft activities and keeping the children busy it provides is excellent.

Now we just have to wait for her to finish her creations.
