In an age where tech rules, before leaving home, we don’t just get dressed, put on our shoes and coats, grab our keys and wallets/purses and leave the house. These days, we grab those all-important smartphones and wearable tech (smartwatches and wireless earbuds). But as we go about our busy day, taking phone calls using the smartphone or the watch through the wireless earbuds, checking and replying to messages, catching up on paying bills through our banking apps and whatever else we choose to do using these devices, the batteries are slowly draining away. Not a problem, just stick it a charger and all is good. But what about when all three devices need charging together? Nobody wants to wait for one device to charge before they can plug in another, and I don’t know anybody that carries around multiple chargers (and then try to find enough available power sockets). If you have a iPhone 12 or above then the ChargeTree Mag is the answer.
The ChargeTree Mag, from STM Goods (who are apparently Smarter Than Most), is a slim, space-saving portable 3-in-1 vertical charger than can charge your MagSafe compatible iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple AirPods/Airpods Pro all at the same time from one charging unit and one cable. It is a compact and foldable charger that stands neatly on a flat surface (desk, table, nightstand etc.) for charging your devices and folds flat when not in use for easy storage or so that you can take it with you. Its compact design has space to charge your MagSafe phone, your AirPods and your Apple Watch individually or in any combination … and all at the same time.

The ChargeTree Mag is fast wireless charger compatible with MagSafe compatible iPhones, all series of Apple Watch and Apple AirPods (in their charging case). A very convenient time and space-saving charger to keep your Apple devices charged at home, at the office and anywhere that you can plug it in.
It is a lightweight (less than 200g), compact device measuring 3.1 x 7.29 x 13 cm when collapsed and 12.6 x 12.2 x 12.98 cm in its upright position, making it very portable and easy to throw in your bag or pocket. As it folds flat it is also very easy to store and takes up very littles space on a desk, nightstand or even in a drawer when not in use. It is available in black or white.
The ChargeTree Mag multi-device charging stand is NOT supplied with a wall plug so you will need your own one with a USB-C port. You cannot use any wall plug, it requires a minimum 20W / 2.22A wall plug (an official Apple USB-C power adapter is £19). With the correct power adapter, you will be able to simultaneously fast charge your phone on the front of the stand (at up to 15W), charge your Apple Watch (3W max) on the swing out arm and your Apple AirPods in their wireless charging case (5W max) on the rear of the stand. It is supplied with a 1 metre USB-C to USB-C charging cable.
After plugging in the USB-C cable into a compatible power adapter, to charge your phone you open the ChargeTree into its vertical position and ‘stick’ your phone to the upright stand using the MagSafe magnetic connection and the phone will start to charge wirelessly and quickly. If you want to charge your Apple Watch, swing out the arm that is hidden away behind the vertical stand and put your watch around it. If you want to charge your AirPods/AirPods Pro, just pop them on the base of the ChargeTree behind the phone. All three will have an indictor light to let you know which station is currently charging.
Overall, the ChargeTree Mag is an excellent one stop charging device for your Apple phone, watch and earbuds. It is a simple minimalistic device, but one that is very sleek and versatile. It is perfect for charging a phone, watch and earbuds at the same time and at a very fast charging speed. It is extremely lightweight and portable and makes charging simple, no need to go hunting for chargers or cables or having lots of different ones. And as it can charge all three devices at once, you only ever need one charger, whether at home or when you leave home.
I love how fast it charges the devices, whether it is just 1 device or all 3 and that you don’t have a nest of charging cables cluttering up the desk space. I also love the easy collapsibility and portability of the ChargeTree. I don’t like that it doesn’t come with a carry/travel bag and with an RRP of £89.99 I do think that it should come with a power adapter.
Other than missing a carry/travel bag and a 20w power adapter (other adapters you may have at home might not be powerful enough), it is a fantastic must-have space-saving, multi-device charger for Apple lovers. Although I can’t give it a full 5 out of 5 as even without the power adapter, I think it should come with the bag to protect it against damage if you are throwing it in you backpack to take everywhere with you.
A fantastic charger that not only does an excellent job of charging your Apple devices but one that reduces desk clutter taking away a nest of charging cables and frees up power sockets (which also reduces clutter).
