The MagPod uses a magnetic disc upon a pivoting socket on a collapsible mini tripod to give your MagSafe iPhone an elevated place in those crowded, cluttered areas. Perfect for working from home when you need your phone above the mess at all times! The legs retract into a compact pod that makes a great handle for selfies and video, and then stores away into a pocket ever so easily.
We have all used tripods with our phones before, generally having to place the phone between a clamp and screw on to a tripod. But with newer iPhones (12, 13 and 14 models) they feature MagSafe making the need for tripods and clamps a thing of the past – just place your iPhone on a MagPod and it stays it place with the power of a magnet! Your iPhone now has a convenient handle or short selfie stick and a tripod so that you can stand your phone on a flat surface and the head swivels and pivots so that you can adjust the viewing angle to almost any position that you want. When done, just pull your phone off the magnet, collapse the legs and put it in your bag or pocket.
Overall, the MagPod is excellent. It is lightweight and so easy to use with its smooth opening/closing and magnetic attachment. It is perfect to use as a handle for your phone but even better to use as a stand to be able to watch videos, still check messages etc. without having to pick up the phone, and at adjustable angles. And for those that love to take selfies, whether still photos or videos, it is an excellent mini tripod.
The MagPod has been excellently designed. Available in black or white, it is a simple looking, plain device, with no fancy unnecessary gimmicks. As a handle, you just pop your phone on and it securely attaches with a strong magnet, this allows you to hold your phone away from you much easier and the head will turn for better angles. As a phone stand, the three legs easily pull out to make a secure stand, again with a swivel head and adjustable angle so that you pop your phone on and use your phone as normal. As a tripod, same as the stand, although it is not height adjustable as with some tripods. Whatever way it is used, it is simple to use and when finished using the phone easily pulls off – no clamps to unscrew and is very portable.
It features non-slip feet on each leg of the tripod, so it doesn’t slip or slide when using it. It is simple and understated but does the job easily and effortlessly. Whilst it is relatively lightweight, it is very well constructed and feels very durable. An effortlessly straightforward product.
Whether you want to take handheld selfies, record videos, take a video call, watch your favourite streaming service, check messages at your desk whilst still be easily able to work or even to use your phone as a recipe book whilst in the kitchen, with the MagPod stand you no longer need to find things to prop your phone up against or use clamps attached to tripods – just stick your phone on and off you go.
